Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatrics, adults, and seniors utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop cohesive care plans.
• Deliver education and resources to patients and families to ensure continued progress outside of clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to guarantee a seamless treatment experience.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to remain current in this ever-evolving field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still in pursuit of ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
