Human Resources Specialist, Shared Services and Benefits (In-Office) Showing 1 location The Human ResourcesSpecialist,Shared Servicesand Benefits serves as thefirstpoint of contact for employeeson all Human Resources topics, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience. This roleinterprets andprovidesadvice andsupport for a broad range of HR topics, including benefits, leave administration, HR policies, HR systems, payroll-related inquiries, and employee lifecycle processes. The Specialistresolves questionsand interpretspoliciesand applies knowledge tomore complex issues, takingtheappropriatepartnersto ensure employees receivetimelyandaccurateresolutions. This role also supports HR operations, benefits administration, and data integrity whileidentifyingtrends and partnering across HR to improve processes, training, resources, and the overall employee experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve asapoint of contact for employee HRquestions and requests, providingtimely,accurate, and professional support. Resolve HR inquiries andpartnerwith HR Business Partners,Areas of Focus (Centers of Excellence), Payroll, IT, managers, and vendorsto solvecomplex issueswhile ensuring issues are fully resolved. Serve asresourceonemployee benefits and leave administration, including health and welfare plans, FMLA, disability, and other leave programs. Support annual Open Enrollment, employee communications, and educational sessions. Processemployee lifecycle transactions and maintainaccurateHRIS records through regular audits and data validation. Audit benefits data, processvendorinvoices,and resolve discrepancies. Maintain HR knowledge resources and promote employee self-service tools. Identify recurring employee questions and operational issues, partnering across HR to improvetraining, communications, systems, and processes. Track service metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HR service delivery andthe employeeexperience. Skills and Competencies Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability tomanage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across teams. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications. Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to enhance processes and the employee experience. Demonstrated initiative and interest in growing within the Human Resources profession. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, ora relatedfield, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, Shared Services, Benefits Administration, ora relatedHR function. At least 1 year of experience administering employee benefits and leave programs. Experience supporting employees in a customer-focused environment. Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and other applicable employment regulations.
