Official TSU Title Operations & Facility Services Coordinator Grant Title N/A Job Description Summary / TWC Summary Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations, theOperations & Facility Services Coordinator supports the dailyoperations of the Department of Campus Recreation & Wellness bycoordinating facility operations, facility services, aquaticsoperations, and operational support. The position assists inmaintaining safe, clean, and functional recreation facilitiesthrough routine inspections, maintenance coordination, operationalreadiness, and student staff supervision while providingexceptional customer service to students, members, and guests. Essential Duties Summary Coordinate the daily operation of Campus Recreation facilitiesto ensure a safe, clean, functional, and welcomingenvironment. Assist with facility inspections, preventive maintenance, workorder coordination, equipment management, operational readiness,and facility services. Support facility safety initiatives, emergency preparedness,operational compliance, and risk mitigation efforts. Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate part-time and studentemployees assigned to facility operations and services. Coordinate facility logistics for departmental programs,events, rentals, and special projects. Collaborate with campus partners to support efficient facilityoperations and service delivery. Aquatics Operations: Coordinate the daily operations of the aquatic facility. Supervise aquatic part-time, and student employees and supportaquatic programming. Assist with pool maintenance, water quality monitoring, staffcertifications, and compliance with applicable safetystandards. Coordinate aquatic facility inspections and support theimplementation of departmental policies and procedures.

1.0 Hiring Range $45,486.69 - $57,995.53 Education Bachelor’s degree or higher. Required Licensing/Certification Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or SpecialRequirements: Preferred upon hire or obtained within six (6) months ofemployment Must be able to work morning, evenings, and weekend shifts Licensed Certified Pool Operator ( CPO ) OR Aquatics FacilityOperator ( AFO ) American Red Cross CPR / AED Certified Instructor American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor ( WSI) American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor ( LGI ) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of: Facility operations and customer service principles. Recreation facility safety standards and operationalprocedures. Preventive maintenance practices. Aquatics operations and water safety regulations. Emergency preparedness and risk management principles. Skill in: Problem-solving and decision-making. Planning and coordinating multiple projects. Customer service. Supervising and developing student employees. Organization and time management. Verbal and written communication. Ability to : Work independently and collaboratively. Maintain accurate records and reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and campuspartners. Respond appropriately during emergency situations. Work Experience Four (4) years of directly related professional experience incampus recreation, facility operations, aquatics, sport management,parks and recreation, facility services, or a related field. Ability to maintain the security or integrity of criticalinfrastructure, which may include communications systems, computernetworks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid,hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system. Preferred: Experience in a university registrar’s office or academicaffairs unit Familiarity with Banner, PeopleSoft, or similar systems Experience with reporting tools and data analysis Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Working/Environmental Conditions Office-based position within a university setting Frequent interaction with students, faculty, and administrativestaff Peak workload during registration, grading, and graduationperiods Prolonged standing and/or walking. Handling moderate weight objects. Using or carrying equipment. Stoop, bend or lift. Moderate risk of accident. May require routine travel.
