Payroll Specialist

An international company with an office in Stamford, CT is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its HR team on a temp-to-perm basis . This is an excellent ON-SITE opportunity (not hybrid) for a payroll professional with 1-3 years of experience who is looking to expand their knowledge across payroll, HRIS, benefits administration, and employee support. The position will be paying 65-85K + OT and a bonus once it goes perm. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Process biweekly payroll accurately and timely, including reviewing and entering payroll-related data and adjustments. Maintain payroll records and ensure employee information is accurate and up to date. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions. Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and other payroll-related projects. Work with the HR team and other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll information is accurate and deadlines are met. Utilize ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enhanced Time & Attendance to process payroll and manage employee timekeeping information. Employee Support & HR Administration Serve as the first point of contact for employees with questions related to payroll, benefits, and general HR matters. Respond to employee inquiries in a timely, professional, and confidential manner, escalating issues when appropriate. Assist with employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork, system setup, and coordination of onboarding activities. Enter and maintain HRIS transactions, including new hires, terminations, salary/pay changes, promotions, transfers, and other employee status changes . Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS. Benefits Administration Assist with day-to-day benefits administration and employee questions regarding benefit plans. Support benefits enrollment and qualifying life event changes. Assist with maintaining accurate benefits and employee data in the HRIS. Work with internal teams and benefit providers as needed to resolve employee issues. Qualifications: 1-3 years of hands-on payroll experience in a corporate environment. ADP Workforce Now experience required Experience with ADP Enhanced Time & Attendance is highly desirable. Working knowledge of HRIS systems and HR processes. Exposure to benefits administration and employee onboarding. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Comfortable answering employee questions and providing a high level of customer service.
