Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities aimed at optimizing patient care and outcomes. Some of your key duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and consultations with patients to evaluate their physical condition, symptoms, and medical history.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and formulating individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implementing therapeutic exercise techniques and educating patients on their proper application for maximum effectiveness.
• Utilizing therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, stimulation, and massage techniques, to promote healing and recovery.
• Guiding patients through the use of assistive devices such as walkers or wheelchairs, ensuring safety and comfort during rehabilitation.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records, tracking progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving patient goals.
• Providing valuable education to patients and their families about at-home treatment options and exercises to reinforce therapy.
• Mentoring and supporting new graduates and junior members of the therapy team to foster a culture of learning and professional development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Physical Therapist position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with electronic health records and documentation software.
• A proactive, adaptable approach, demonstrating the ability to pivot and respond to patients' needs in real-time.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is a DPT degree, we prefer candidates who have at least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting. Compensation and Benefits
