Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, focusing on frequency, severity, and impact on daily functioning.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and preferences, revising them as progress is made or challenges arise.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address and support clients in managing their symptoms.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to foster a deeper understanding of their mental health journey.

• Track and evaluate client progress throughout treatment, adjusting strategies when necessary to enhance effectiveness.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients often seek therapy during critical moments of their lives, and it will be your role to provide them with understanding, guidance, and practical tools to cope with their challenges and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic modalities specifically tailored for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists.

• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
