Work Environment

This position involves onsite work primarily in home care settings, allowing for a unique patient experience that focuses on comfort and personalized therapy. As a Physical Therapist within our established orthopedic outpatient office, you will interact regularly with patients in their own home environments, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for conducting evaluations and treatment sessions. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured workday while allowing you to balance professional commitments with personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical limitations, mobility issues, and pain levels. This initial interaction is crucial to designing personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Treatment Implementation: Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments using manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education strategies. For instance, you might guide your patients through specific exercises aimed at strengthening muscles post-surgery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Regular case discussions can enhance treatment outcomes and optimize patient recovery processes.
• Documentation: Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes. Proper record-keeping is vital for tracking progress and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Your ability to form trusting relationships with a diverse range of patients will contribute significantly to their psychological comfort and adherence to treatment protocols, ultimately enhancing their rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current New Jersey State Physical Therapy license in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic care.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Experience utilizing EMR systems; familiarity with WebPT is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
