Software Dev Engineer, EC2 Nitro

Salary: $143,700 - 194,400 per year Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 2+ years of non-internship experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a similar role.
• We require 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• We require a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• We require programming experience with at least one software language.
• We prefer 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
• We prefer knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing.
• We expect strong proficiency in C/C++ or Rust development in a Linux environment.
• We value familiarity with Linux package management, version control systems, automated build workflows, and unit testing.
• We highly value in-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks and cluster management.

• We will have the engineer drive development for new EC2 machine learning platforms.
• We will have the engineer contribute to the next generation of EC2 Supercomputers optimized for high-performance training and inference workloads.
• We will have the engineer collaborate with a broad and deep range of technical teams working across hardware, firmware, systems, and application software.
• We will have the engineer support development within the EC2 Nitro platform organization.
