About the Role
Join a dynamic, technology-driven team as a Field Engineer 4, serving the Washington, DC metro area. As a Field/Computer Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our clients by delivering timely, hands-on hardware repairs and upgrades. This contract role is ideal for tech-savvy professionals seeking to expand their experience in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktops at client sites across the metro area
- Perform hands-on break-fix activities, including replacing hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and conducting unit swaps
- Repair or replace PC peripherals as needed to ensure optimal device functionality
- Accurately close service tickets in real time using a company-provided phone and Call Management system
- Maintain professional communication with clients while on-site to ensure high-quality customer service
- Reliably commute between assignments using your own insured vehicle

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix repairs
- General knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting; familiarity with Microsoft applications
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving basic and routine technical issues
- Proven reliability and professionalism when working independently in the field
- Must have your own reliable car and active car insurance

Preferred Skills

- Experience building computers from components
- Previous work in client-facing technical roles
