The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation is a national research and implementation nonprofit advancing the emerging field of Educational Restoration . Our mission is to develop, test, evaluate, and disseminate innovative Educational Restoration solutions that help schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations improve outcomes for vulnerable learners. Through research, implementation science, artificial intelligence, and cross-sector collaboration, the Foundation is building an ecosystem that strengthens human infrastructure by restoring educational opportunity after educational fragmentation. As the Foundation enters its next phase of growth, we are seeking visionary leaders who are committed to innovation, ethical governance, strategic partnerships, and long-term systems change. Role Overview The Leadership Board Member is a volunteer governance position responsible for helping guide the long-term strategic direction of The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation. Board members serve as thought partners, ambassadors, and stewards of the Foundation's mission, intellectual property, research agenda, and organizational sustainability. Working alongside fellow leaders from education, business, technology, philanthropy, government, and community leadership, board members help shape the future of Educational Restoration as an emerging field. Responsibilities Board members are expected to think strategically rather than operationally and to help position the Foundation for long-term national impact. Providing strategic governance and organizational oversight Advancing the Foundation's long-term vision and research agenda Supporting ethical stewardship of Educational Restoration intellectual property Expanding strategic partnerships and national relationships Strengthening organizational sustainability and governanceServing as an ambassador for the Foundation's mission Participating in board meetings and committee work Contributing expertise within each member's professional discipline This is a hybrid volunteer position with both virtual and periodic in-person meetings.
