Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth initial assessments and interviews with clients to evaluate their mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, incorporating client feedback and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting interventions as needed to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to establish comprehensive intervention plans.

• Provide resources and referrals to ensure clients have access to supplementary services, including crisis intervention when necessary.

• Support families and caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, providing them with tools to assist in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients encompass a wide age range and present with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Many clients face unique challenges due to situational stressors, relationships, or underlying medical conditions. Your role will require sensitivity to individual client backgrounds, including cultural, socioeconomic, and personal factors, ensuring care is both empathetic and individualized.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or the NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Proven experience providing mental health counseling to a diverse client population.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient documentation and case management.

• Strong knowledge of common mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and interventions.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate and empathetic nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addressing co-occurring addiction disorders and understanding the interplay between mental and physical health.

• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
