Accounting Clerk

Caine & Weiner is seeking a In-Office, detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting team at BARR Credit Services in Tucson, AZ . The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of accrual-based accounting principles. This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) functions, preparing, and posting journal entries, and assisting with month‑end close processes and other projects as needed and assigned. Key Responsibilities Manage the accounts payable process, including the accurate coding and timely payment of invoices. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Assist with accrual-based accounting tasks, ensuring all expenses and revenues are appropriately recognized. Perform various reconciliations, including bank and vendor reconciliations. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including working with VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables to streamline reporting and analysis. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Technologically adept with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly. Preferred Qualifications Solid AP experience Experience with month-end close and general ledger functions. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, and other advanced functions.
