Staff Accountant

SUMMARY Provide administrative support and participate as active member of accounting team to achieve organizational goals. JOB FUNCTIONS Assist accounts payable with 3-way match & vendor payments Responsible for preparing journal entries for period end (monthly, quarterly, annually) Responsible for reporting & reconciling monthly intercompany transactions, quarterly reports, and generation of financial statements Responsible for taking ownership of the full cycle of reporting on fixed assets including sub ledger & CIP account transactions, responsible for various account reconciliations including bank reconciliation. Responsible for preparing monthly financial reporting package for parent company. Responsible for preparing and analyzing various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management. Manage physical inventory process of indirect materials as needed. Will be cross trained in other departments based on internal needs. Perform other special projects as required from time to time. JOB REQUIRMENTS Bachelor's degree with accounting major 2 - 5 years' experience in accounting, manufacturing experience preferred Ability to organize well during multi-faceted projects. Ability to be 'hands-on' and work as a collaborator. JDE EnterpriseOne or equivalent preferred Sage for fixed assets management system or equivalent preferred Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint Ability to keep the trial balance of accounts in order (month to month) Basic ability to analyze financial statements. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts;hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises. Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required. Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek. Overtime may be required. The pace of work is steady and fast.
