This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to provide services while enjoying the comforts of your home. Although primarily remote, you will occasionally engage with clients at our community health clinic in South Elgin, making use of on-site resources as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and mental health screenings to identify clients' needs and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions tailored to address a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops aimed at improving coping skills, resilience, and emotional regulation among clients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff and community resources, to ensure comprehensive care for clients, referring them to additional services when necessary.

• Engage in outreach programs and community initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote services within the South Elgin area.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the mental health challenges faced by adults within the community. You will work with a diverse population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, each requiring tailored approaches to address their specific mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• An active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or comparable license recognizing mental health practice in Illinois.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, providing counseling and support to clients with diverse mental health concerns.
