About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license in hand at the time of submission Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification required Must-Have: - Must be able to pass the telemetry test - Telemetry monitoring experience required - Epic experience required Description: Candidates must possess general nursing skills such as IV starts, monitoring, laboratory tests, medication administration, and patient education. Experience in blood product administration, central line care, and the interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. Strong understanding of isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, and management of dysrhythmias is required. Experience with non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and phlebotomy is necessary. Candidates will be responsible for the care of telemetry patients, including remote monitoring. Knowledge of surgical drains and wound care is preferred. The nursing staff will float to other areas if not needed on the home unit. Weekend coverage is required. The candidate must be able and willing to complete fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process. References from previous employers are required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor. Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
