Make a meaningful difference supporting students’ growth in a welcoming educational environment. A long-term opportunity is now open for dedicated Special Education Teachers to inspire and guide learners with individualized needs. This contract position begins in August and will run through December, with the possibility of extension through June 10th based on the assignment’s duration.
Your preference in grade level placement is valued—please indicate the grade level you are most interested in teaching when applying. You’ll work collaboratively with staff and families, fostering an inclusive atmosphere and helping students reach their highest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with IEPs and adaptive teaching methods
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of abilities
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as required
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence
