Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Great Valley Psychotherapy, your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical functions, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments to determine the counseling needs and substance abuse diagnoses of clients using DSM criteria.
\n
• Developing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, including the substance abuse counseling component.
\n
• Collaborating with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to maintain a supportive therapeutic environment that promotes long-term recovery.
\n
• Documenting all counseling and educational services, assessments, and follow-up actions in the client's clinical record, ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards.
\n
• Coordinating support services and facilitating communication with families and external referral sources such as legal and educational entities.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention when necessary, leveraging a multi-disciplinary team approach to effectively address immediate client needs.
\n
• Maintaining a manageable client caseload while also adhering to treatment planning duties and conducting regular case reviews.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus primarily on individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders, combining challenges in mental health and substance use. Each client will come with a unique story and set of needs, requiring personalized attention and a tailored approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
\n
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of DSM and ASAM criteria, along with a commitment to evidence-based counseling practices.

• Excellent therapeutic boundaries, a high degree of professionalism, and cultural competence.
\n
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining effective communication with team members and leadership.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Prior experience in a community health setting or addiction treatment environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, you will enjoy a robust benefits package, which includes:
