CTR Group is seeking a Human Resource Generalist in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! This is a role offering $37.00-$45.50 hourly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to employees on interpreting and applying company policies
• Support employee relations by addressing concerns, assisting with investigations, and promoting a positive work environment
• Administer FMLA and leave‑of‑absence tracking (FMLA & STD)
• Assist with onboarding, new‑hire orientation, and assimilation programs
• Support performance review cycles and employee development initiatives
• Identify training needs and coordinate with management to deliver development programs
• Assist in drafting policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
• Coordinate random and post‑accident drug/alcohol testing
• Review motor vehicle reports and provide recommendations
• Participate in compensation analysis, salary proposals, and job description development
• Maintain HR systems (HRIS, reporting tools, shared platforms) and generate routine/custom reports
• Manage remote‑work agreements and related documentation
• Support internal communications, new‑hire and termination processing, and exit interviews
• Assist with data collection for employee complaints and EEO‑related matters
• Support employee engagement programs (service awards, vouchers, reimbursements)
• Process safety‑related reimbursements and referral program submissions
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Stay current on HR best practices, regulatory changes, and HR technology trends
• Assist with immigration‑related documentation preparation
• Perform additional HR duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality
• Experience supporting multiple locations is a plus
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
