We are looking for a Pastry Chef for our new fine-dining restaurant in SoHo. This role will require you to build and lead the pastry program during the pre-opening stage and manage the pastry station and back-of-house pastry team once open.
Responsibilities- Develop the dessert menu, recipes, and plating standards in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Produce all pastries, desserts, and baked goods to a consistent fine-dining standard
- Manage pastry cost, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships within budget
- Hire, train, and lead the pastry team
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and full compliance with health and safety standards
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a fine-dining setting
- Strong command of classic and modern pastry technique
- Experience building and leading a pastry team
- Solid business acumen: recipe costing, inventory, and labor management
- Pre-opening experience preferred
- $80,000–$100,000 base salary plus performance bonus
