What You'll Do

• Provide dialysis treatment and care to Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis patients (PD experience not required)
• Access fistulas and dialysis catheters, performing procedures with critical thinking and autonomy
• Monitor patient vitals and adjust treatments as needed
• Float between multiple facilities, ensuring consistent patient care across units
• Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure accurate charting using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with certifications and competency requirements
• Participate in scheduled call shifts, including 12-hour on-call duties, with a flexible weekend schedule
• Support a fast-paced environment, often working independently and demonstrating critical thinking skills

What You Need

• Current RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience (2 years for first-time travelers in perm staff roles)
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to placement
• Critical thinking skills, proficiency in accessing fistulas and grafts, and adaptability to float between facilities
• Certification as a CCHT preferred for technicians but not required for RNs
• Ability to work independently, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
