Openwork is engaged in a search for an Accounting Clerk for a manufacturing company specializing in plastic coverings and other plastic components. This is a full-time, temp to hire position in the Hobby area.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM – 5PM
Pay: starting at $18 (depending on experience)

What you’ll do:
- Assist with accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
- Support accounts receivable by posting payments and monitoring customer accounts.
- Prepare and process customer billing and invoices accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
- Reconcile invoices and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors when providing front desk coverage.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document preparation.
- Provide support to the accounting team on special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Float between accounting and front office responsibilities based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Entry-level to 2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative support role.
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed.
