Work Environment

Your work environment will be within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, which is designed for optimal patient care and recovery. The center is equipped with advanced rehabilitation equipment and therapy tools to support physical therapeutic interventions. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Your role will be strictly onsite, ensuring hands-on interaction with our patients and a true team-centered approach to rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical capabilities, taking special care to evaluate their strengths and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each resident, with a focus on mobility enhancement and pain reduction.
• Deliver hands-on therapy services that include a mix of therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and patient-specific interventions designed to improve balance and functional independence.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers about effective mobility techniques and provide guidance on home exercise programs for ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including nurses and occupational therapists, to create a holistic care plan that ensures comprehensive patient support.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with skilled nursing facility regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with elderly residents who often present with complex medical conditions requiring individualized rehabilitation strategies. Our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from surgery, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses, making your expertise in specialized therapy crucial for their recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia PT license in good standing, enabling you to practice in accordance with state regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment to promote integrated care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in physical therapy, preferably within skilled nursing, geriatric, or long-term care settings.

Compensation and Benefits
