Work Environment

This position is located onsite in our Leesburg facility, where you will work closely with a team of skilled healthcare professionals committed to patient success. The workdays run from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for consistent patient interaction and the development of meaningful relationships with clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand and comply with Virginia's state practice acts and regulations governing physical therapy practice.
• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans addressing their functional limitations.
• Implement treatment protocols proficiently based on evaluation findings and patient presentations while adapting to changes in the healthcare landscape.
• Perform detailed evaluations, including reviewing patient histories and conducting specific assessments that establish a clear course of care.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, documenting any changes in patient conditions that may necessitate adjustments to treatment plans.
• Oversee discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care, maintaining accurate and timely records of patient encounters, progress summaries, and evaluations.
• Participate in all required corporate and clinical training programs, ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Engage in team discussions to identify and reduce barriers to patient access and actively contribute to initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Boost Therapy Center, Inc., you will work primarily with adult and elderly patients dealing with orthopedic conditions. Many of our clients are recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or seeking rehabilitation post-injury. The diverse patient demographics you will encounter provide an enriching environment where you can apply varied therapeutic techniques and make a profound impact on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the Virginia Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with additional specialties such as sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, or geriatrics will have an advantage. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will also be beneficial in streamlining documentation processes and enhancing patient care management.
