Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to assess their physical capabilities and challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic methods, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and innovative pain management techniques.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, emphasizing the importance of active participation in recovery.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to establish multidisciplinary treatment goals and enhance patient care.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and therapy tools effectively to facilitate patient recovery and improve mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Life Care, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals, each presenting unique rehabilitation needs. Our clients may be recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports-related injuries, or other conditions requiring physical rehabilitation. Your role is crucial in transforming their recovery journey, with an emphasis on maximizing independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively educate and collaborate with patients and their families as well as interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and digital documentation processes.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory, as we also welcome recent graduates eager to grow in their practice.
• Experience in developing treatment plans and working with patients from diverse background and age groups.

Compensation and Benefits
