Overview
The Manager of Instructional Support (9-12) will be responsible for leading and supporting the Instructional Supervisors serving grades 9-12 by developing instructional systems, monitoring teacher effectiveness, and ensuring consistent implementation of instructional best practices. This position partners with campus leadership to strengthen instructional quality, support educator development, oversee teacher evaluation processes, and ensure instructional programs align with organizational goals and state requirements.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing professional development to Instructional Supervisors serving grades 9-12.
  • Develop leadership capacity by modeling effective instructional leadership practices and facilitating continuous learning opportunities.
  • Conduct regular leadership meetings to communicate priorities, review performance data, and promote collaboration among instructional leaders.
  • Monitor the implementation of campus instructional initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and responsibilities of the Instructional Supervisors to ensure consistent support across grade levels.
  • Promote instructional consistency and fidelity across all secondary instructional programs.

  • Oversee teacher observation and walkthrough cycles to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) or other approved evaluation frameworks.
  • Monitor teacher performance data and instructional effectiveness to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support Instructional Supervisors in developing coaching plans and professional growth opportunities for teachers.
  • Ensure compliance with teacher evaluation timelines, documentation, and required instructional support processes.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to address teacher performance concerns and implement improvement plans as appropriate.
• Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  
  
  
  
  • Review instructional, assessment, and teacher performance data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor Professional Learning Community (PLC) implementation and support instructional teams in using student data to improve teaching practices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional support systems and recommend improvements to increase teacher and student success.
  • Support the implementation of academic intervention systems that promote student achievement and instructional excellence.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
  
  
  
  
  • Partner with campus administrators, instructional leaders, and support departments to ensure coordinated instructional support across grades 9-12.
  • Serve as a resource for Instructional Supervisors by providing guidance on instructional best practices, coaching strategies, and operational procedures.
  • Support the resolution of parent escalations related to instructional concerns while maintaining positive relationships with families and school stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and student success.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• A minimum of 5 years of successful educational experience, including secondary classroom teaching and instructional leadership.
• Previous campus leadership or instructional coaching experience required.
• Strong knowledge of effective instructional coaching, teacher development, and adult learning principles.
• Extensive knowledge of secondary instructional practices, curriculum, assessment, and instructional planning.
• Knowledge of the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) and teacher evaluation best practices.
• Ability to analyze instructional, teacher performance, and student achievement data to drive strategic decision-making.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to develop high-performing instructional leaders.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with administrators, instructional staff, families, and cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
• Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Education & Certification Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field required.
  Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required.
• Texas Principal Certificate or current enrollment in an approved principal certification program preferred.
