General ForemanTrumbull Corporation - Arlington, VA (Long Bridge South Project)Job Type: Full-timeTrumbull Corporation is hiring a General Foreman to lead crews on the Long Bridge South project in Arlington, VA, a high-profile Design-Build rail infrastructure project over the Potomac River connecting Arlington and Washington, D.C. that offers a unique and challenging career-building opportunity. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive job site - setting the pace, communicating the plan, and ensuring crews have what they need to safely and efficiently complete the work. Per diem and lodging negotiable.Typical Duties:Lead crew with a clear plan to complete work safely, efficiently, and per production goalsRead, interpret, and follow plans, specifications, and work plansAssist in developing construction work plansCoordinate with the Superintendent on material and equipment deliveryComplete field paperwork and maintain daily cost/budget communication with project staffCollect material delivery tickets and turn in documentation dailyLead and direct crew with clear, professional, respectful communicationIdentify changed conditions or out-of-scope work and notify Superintendent/Project Engineering before proceedingMaintain crew productivity and motivation through challengesTake responsibility for crew safety; stop work if conditions are unsafeComplete required safety documentation (snapshots, safety talks, equipment inspections)Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for planned workCoordinate with other Foremen/crews on overlapping workRecord and submit daily quantities; reconcile with owner reps as neededCoordinate with Quality Control Manager/Project Engineer on QC complianceDetermine traffic control requirementsDetermine plant production requirementsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of foreman experience on highway/roadway construction projectsExperience with project layout/set-up and scheduling manpower, equipment, and materialsKnowledge of subgrade preparation, milling, and pavingStrong decision-making, supervisory, scheduling, and delegation skillsAbility to read and follow plans and DOT specificationsDaily computer skills (electronic timecards, digital plans/memos, email)Professional work ethic and strong communication skills with owners, inspectors, and subcontractorsWilling to travel, work various shifts, and follow all company safety policiesApply now to join Trumbull Corporation's team on the Long Bridge South project.Individuals with Disabilities: PJ Dick-Trumbull-The Lindy Group wants all interested and qualified candidates to be able to use the career site to review and apply for employment opportunities.
