Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and elderly patients utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
• Craft customized treatment plans focused on achieving both short-term and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing functionalities.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, honing in on areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure a unified approach to care.
• Provide insightful education to patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support the occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to ensure a seamless care continuum during treatment.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation that adheres to all local, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to continuous professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
