Senior Manager, FP&A - G&A Business Partner

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Manager of FP&A to serve as strategic finance partner to executive leadership and manage financial planning for the G&A organization. The role combines hands-on budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close responsibilities with executive-level business partnering.
Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with Executive Leadership Team members on planning, forecasting, and resource allocation decisions
- Lead technology spend planning with CIO including software licensing, infrastructure, and IT vendor contracts
- Own month-end close process for G&A departments and establish spend governance controls
- Drive annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for G&A operating expenses and capital
- Develop and present monthly/quarterly financial reporting and executive-ready materials to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 8+ years progressive finance/FP&A experience required
- 2+ years pharma/biotech/life sciences industry experience preferred
- Prior CIO/IT function support strongly preferred with technology spend planning expertise
- Executive presence and demonstrated ability to advise C-suite leaders strategically
- Expert Excel and advanced PowerPoint proficiency for executive presentations
- Experience with Coupa, Concur, ERP systems, and financial consolidation platforms
