Director Of Human ResourcesDutchess BOCES seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented educational leader to serve as the Director of Human Resources. Reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, the Director will play a critical role in advancing the agency's Blueprint for Excellence by leading strategic human resource initiatives that strengthen recruitment, retention, employee engagement, organizational culture, leadership development, and workforce excellence. This position requires a visionary leader who understands that people are the foundation of organizational success and that a thriving workforce is essential to preparing students and schools for the future. As a member of the Human Resources leadership team, the Director will contribute to building a future-ready workforce through innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in public education. The Director reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and supervises Human Resources personnel.Qualifications, experience, and competencies include a valid New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certificate, a minimum of three years of successful administrative leadership experience, demonstrated experience in human resources, employee relations, recruitment, investigations, organizational leadership, or educational administration, and experience supervising personnel and leading organizational initiatives preferred.Duties and responsibilities include leading innovative recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies, developing and implementing workforce initiatives, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, innovation, engagement, accountability, and belonging, designing, coordinating, and evaluating employee orientation, professional learning, leadership development, mentoring, and succession planning initiatives, conducting confidential personnel investigations, workplace investigations, and employee relations inquiries, providing consultation and coaching to administrators regarding employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, organizational development, and personnel practices, promoting employee recognition, wellness, engagement, and organizational pride via recognition ceremonies and celebrations, performing additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, and comprehensive knowledge of educational leadership and public-sector human resources.
