Accounts Payable Specialist
Pro Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Accounts Payable Specialist will help with the organization and running of the daily Accounts Payable operations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Shift and Compensation: Monday-Friday 7-4 PM Compensation is from $40,000 to $50,000 per year
Job Duties:
- Provide Management with Vendor Analysis reports.
- Prepare and distribute annual 1099's.
- Code invoices with GL account numbers.
- Review all W9 forms for accuracy and validity.
- Complete vendor credit applications.
- Prepare weekly check runs for multiple companies and process.
- Work with vendors to move away from paper checks to EFT or virtual credit card payments.
Background Profile: B.S. in Accounting is preferred if candidate can take on other Accounting functions, or an Associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience. Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles. Extensive knowledge of accounts payable procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers, especially excel and accounting software. Strong planning and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze information and processes.
