Operations Assistant, CasualThe Operations Assistant, Casual performs a combination of clerical duties that require knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures.ResponsibilitiesOther duties and projects, as assignedReceive and issues receipts for payments on licenses, permits, certificates, bonds, service, etcWork in a team setting to accomplish departmental goalsStamp or number forms by hand or machine and photocopy documentsTransfer information from reports, code numerically and post to prepared code sheet, ledger or journalAnswer telephones, convey messages and run errandsOperate various office machinesType or enter information into the computer to prepare correspondenceProofread records or forms, sort and file records and index records and informationConduct limited researchPrepare envelops and packages for mailingAdjust complaintsMaintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environmentCount, weigh, check, analyze, measure and/or classify materialIssue licenses, permits, certificates, writs, or other legal documents and/or titlesOpen and route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mailPrepare, issue and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checksTabulate and post data in record booksRequirementsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:Prior experience in the transportation industry, preferredPrior typing/data entry and clerical skills, preferredComputer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to use various office machines.Additional Requirements:Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends.
