Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Work Arrangement: On-Site
Reports To: Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for accounts receivable, B2B collections, payment processing, account reconciliations, customer account management, aging reports, data entry, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts and outstanding balances
• Conduct B2B collections through phone and email communications
• Follow up on overdue invoices and payment commitments
• Review and maintain accounts receivable aging reports
• Resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and billing issues
• Process customer payments, credits, adjustments, and account updates
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records
• Generate accounts receivable, collections, and payment activity reports
• Analyze payment trends and collection activity using Excel
• Support month-end close, audits, and financial reporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, Customer Account Management, or a related Finance role
• Experience conducting B2B collections by phone and email
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, collections procedures, payment processing, and account reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP
  • INDEX/MATCH
  • Conditional Formatting
  • Data Validation
  • Financial reporting and data analysis
• Strong data entry, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with ERP, CRM, accounting, billing, or collections software preferred
