Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the firm’s billing and collections processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial transactions within a collaborative team environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Receivable & Payment Processing Process and apply client payments (checks, ACH, wires, credit cards, and electronic payments) with accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update client account records, ensuring proper application of payments and adherence to billing terms. Handle daily cash receipts and support deposit processing. Billing & Collections Support Partner with Accounting Manager, Billing, and Collections teams to resolve payment posting issues and discrepancies. Assist with billing lifecycle processes, including payment applications, follow-ups, and account resolution. Monitor accounts receivable and support efforts to optimize cash flow. Research & Reconciliation Investigate and resolve unidentified payments and account discrepancies. Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Client & Internal Communication Respond to payment-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Communicate with clients regarding payment status, discrepancies, and refunds. Provide high-quality service to both internal teams and external clients. Assist with credit card processing and refunds as needed. Support ongoing accounting operations and finance team initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Required 3-5 years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Law firm or professional services experience. Experience with client billing and collections processes.
