Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to determine clients' needs and effectiveness of treatment plans.

• Collaborating with the Department of Correction to facilitate appropriate access to care, ensuring clients are placed in suitable housing and therapeutic environments.

• Leading therapeutic groups focused on mental health support in assigned units, educating clients on coping strategies and fostering community recovery.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes compliant with regulatory standards.

• Engaging in case conferences, treatment planning sessions, and consultation rounds to improve care pathways for clients experiencing mental health crises.

• Providing psychological testing and assessments as required, to outline comprehensive care strategies.
\n
• Offering supervision and mentorship to social work interns or student volunteers, enhancing learning experiences and fostering a new generation of mental health professionals.

• Engaging in weekly clinical supervision with appointed Clinical Supervisors to discuss cases and receive feedback on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this position is on serving community members, particularly those in correctional settings. Many clients may be struggling with complex behavioral health challenges such as severe mental illness, trauma history, and substance use issues. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid professional experience in providing direct client care within a behavioral health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This senior position offers an attractive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
