Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document comprehensive case histories, tracking client progress from the initial consultation to discharge.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, identifying factors that may impact their recovery.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and various client groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse therapeutic modalities to meet clients’ needs.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide follow-up consultations for clients admitted to hospitals, working alongside medical staff to promote successful transitions from inpatient to outpatient settings.

• Identify potential behaviors that may hinder recovery, and implement strategies to address these challenges proactively.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing complex mental health issues, offering resources and guidance to promote a healthy home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include adults, adolescents, and families facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship problems, and trauma. You will work with diverse populations, including those from underrepresented communities, ensuring an inclusive approach to therapy that respects individual differences and promotes empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, adept at a wide range of clinical issues.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and treatment planning.
\n
• Knowledge of physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders is essential.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of the implications of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and healthcare teams.

• A natural ability to build rapport and exhibit empathy, fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, with the opportunity for a sign-on bonus.
