Job Details Position Description: 10/5, 10/19 start dates with orientation occurring every other Monday. The IMCU unit primarily works 12-hour night shifts. The role requires prior travel experience for all Centra positions, with charge nurse responsibilities included, along with the appropriate pay differential and training. The unit may offer 36 or 48-hour contracts, and weekend requests will be considered. The unit primarily serves patients with diagnostic complexities involving neuro, cardiovascular, and post-stroke care, following a typical acuity level. Required Qualifications: Active VA or Compact license required upon start; 2 years minimum work experience with a documented work history; exposure to med-surg, tele, cardiac, neuro, and CVA care; demonstrated charge experience preferred; Cerner electronic health record experience preferred; valid skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license are required. Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The assigned nurse will work with students and new healthcare professionals, contributing to a culture of support. Orientation dates are every other Monday, and the unit may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census changes. All requested time off must be included in the initial packet.
