Human Resources Generalist

The HR Generalist is a key member of the HR team responsible for payroll processing, employee benefits administration, HRIS management, reporting, and workforce data analytics support and providing general support for initiatives related to talent management and engagement

Essential Responsibilities:

The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.

• Process and audit bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Administer employee benefit programs including health, welfare, 401(k), and LOA processes
• Serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding payroll and benefits related information
• Maintain HRIS and employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Support preparation of workforce reports, dashboards, and metrics related to headcount, turnover, compensation, leave, benefits, and other regulatory reporting requirements and collaborate with internal teams and external providers to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and provide workforce insights
• Support annual processes including open enrollment, year-end payroll activities, audits, and regulatory reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reporting capabilities, and employee experience through automation and continuous improvement
• Maintain an active and visible presence across the organization, providing support and clear communication to support cohesive teams
• Maintain professional competence and role‑related knowledge, staying current on best practices, skills, and knowledge required for effective role execution

Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant field of HR study, or the equivalent amount of training and hands-on experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position
• 2+ years of progressive experience in an HR Coordinator or Specialist role, with emphasis on payroll and benefits administration and regulatory reporting
• High degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization
• Proven track record of contributing toward continuous improvement projects and supporting organizational transformation
• Business acumen and ability to think holistically to contribute toward organizational planning
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail with ability to follow process work flows and procedures
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, professionally, and persuasively to customers and partners
• Creative and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence
• Self-directed work style, able to work within a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or tasks, prioritize to meet deadlines, and deliver results
• Ability to travel nationwide when necessary
