This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, reporting directly to an experienced VP Controller and serving as a key partner in the continued evolution of a large and complex accounting organization. This is not simply a close and reporting leadership role. The Assistant Corporate Controller will play a key role in helping a growing multibillion-dollar organization continue to scale its accounting and reporting infrastructure while partnering closely with senior finance leadership on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting and financial reporting activities for a large, complex organization
• Oversee technical accounting matters including complex transactions and policy application
• Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 10+ accounting professionals
• Partner with external auditors and support compliance, controls, and regulatory requirements
• Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and finance transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic projects, process improvements, and business initiatives

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility in a corporate environment
• Accounting degree required, CPA strongly preferred
• Prior public accounting experience highly valued
• Experience within a large private equity backed or public company environment
• Experience with a product based industry and understanding of inventory accounting
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Strong technical accounting and US GAAP knowledge
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives
• Experience supporting large, complex organizations and dynamic business environments

Compensation & Benefits

• $180,000 to $220,000 base salary
• 25% Annual bonus opportunity
