Work Environment\n

The role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience while ensuring you are part of a supportive professional community. The average work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts required based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the specific needs and therapeutic goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized, strength-based treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Provide individual counseling sessions employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to effectively engage clients.

• Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions that harness the power of peer support in the recovery process.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine professionals, and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated and coordinated care.

• Offer timely crisis intervention for clients experiencing substance-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction issues, recovery strategies, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and care in compliance with legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on serving adults experiencing substance use disorders. By implementing personalized treatment strategies, you will help clients navigate the complex emotional and psychological challenges associated with recovery while fostering hope and resilience in their journey.

Qualifications\n

• An advanced degree (Master's or Doctoral) in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.
\n
• A deep understanding of substance use disorders and the various evidence-based treatment modalities designed to address them.

• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment and recovery.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to practicing in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.

• Proficiency in maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to enhance patient documentation and care coordination.

• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
