Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in SAN JOSE, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, dock doors, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the location, following post orders for access control, visitor processing, and/or credential verification.
- Support security-related operations by maintaining visible presence, communicating clearly with site personnel, and completing required reports, logs, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
