Role Description The General Manager role at Pete's Panels is a full-time, remote position responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring service quality, and driving business performance. This role includes managing teams that handle furniture sales, installation, office layout and design, moving and storage, and maintenance services. The General Manager will develop and implement operational processes, set performance goals, monitor key metrics, and coordinate logistics for local and nationwide projects. They will collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, while maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors. The role also involves coaching and supporting staff, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications

• Operations management skills, including experience leading day-to-day business activities and optimizing workflows.
• Team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and support remote and onsite staff.
• Customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality experiences.
• Strong organizational and project management skills for coordinating installations, moves, and multi-site engagements.
• Business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to support growth and profitability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Comfort with remote work technologies and tools for managing a distributed team and tracking operations.
• Prior experience in furniture, facilities management, logistics, or related industries is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
