Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to design tailored treatment plans aligned with their specific needs, objectives, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to respond to their evolving needs.

• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic techniques and strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will primarily include individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You may also support vulnerable groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will involve creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
