Accounting Clerk

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary through February 28, 2027 Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations, cash reconciliation, payment processing, treasury functions, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a recent accounting or finance graduate or an individual with 2–3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities: Reconcile daily cash receipts and deposits by matching posted payments to amounts received and identifying discrepancies. Research and resolve unposted deposits, payment discrepancies, and other account issues with internal team members. Process and reconcile loan payments, including routine payments, reversals, corrections, and borrower overpayments. Utilize loan processing and accounting systems to accurately maintain and update borrower accounts. Prepare payment reports and supporting documentation for collection counsel and trustee reporting. Assist with treasury functions, including monitoring account balances, bank activity, interest rates, earnings credits, and financial trends. Prepare accurate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support internal business needs and decision-making. Maintain organized financial records and perform other accounting, reporting, and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Recent college graduate to 2–3 years of experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, or financial analysis. Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and standard accounting processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and lookups; Word and Access experience preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Why Join J & J?
