Work Environment

The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner position is onsite at our clinic, located in vibrant Atlanta, Georgia. Our unique concierge medicine model offers flexibility, permitting healthcare delivery through house calls when necessary, thereby enhancing patient convenience and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by taking initial histories and performing physical examinations to formulate appropriate care plans.
• Document and communicate detailed plans of care, ensuring responsive follow-up for every patient to support their health outcomes.
• Perform daily patient rounds, monitoring health progress and adjusting treatment protocols as needed.
• Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, and arrange necessary diagnostic procedures based on patient needs.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results, utilizing this data to inform treatment strategies in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in regular consultations with physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Prepare detailed discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, ensuring all patients receive clear post-discharge instructions.
• Fulfill other essential duties as assigned, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards in healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on women’s health issues which encompass a wide range of specialties including reproductive health, prenatal care, menopause management, and chronic disease management. The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will engage with a diverse patient demographic, ensuring accessibility to high-quality health services tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Practitioner programs and certification in Women’s Health is mandatory.
• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse in Georgia is required.
• Ability to maintain a collaborative practice agreement and adhere to protocols per state regulations, enhancing the quality of care provided.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably within women’s health or family medicine.
