Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to support a large-scale technology modernization initiative. This role will provide architectural leadership across Salesforce, MuleSoft, cloud infrastructure, integrations, security, data, governance, and production operations.

The architect will design scalable solutions, establish technical standards, guide delivery teams, and ensure the platform meets performance, security, integration, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce and MuleSoft solution architecture.
• Administer and oversee cloud environments and Salesforce applications.
• Design Salesforce data models supporting more than five million records.
• Establish Salesforce security, performance, data access, and governance standards.
• Design MuleSoft integrations using API-led connectivity and ESB patterns.
• Integrate Salesforce with legacy systems, cloud applications, databases, and external platforms.
• Define API gateway, transformation, orchestration, routing, monitoring, and error-handling standards.
• Review technical designs and identify risks, dependencies, and scalability concerns.
• Support production operations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and implementation roadmaps.
• Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Mandatory Qualifications

Cloud and Salesforce Administration

At least four years of FTE experience within the last seven years administering cloud environments and Salesforce applications.

Salesforce Architecture

At least three years of FTE experience within the last seven years designing and implementing Salesforce architecture for projects involving more than five million records.

Experience should include data architecture, security, performance, scalability, migration, integration, and governance.

MuleSoft Architecture

At least three years of FTE experience within the last seven years designing and implementing MuleSoft integration architecture.

Experience must include API-led connectivity, ESB patterns, orchestration, data transformation, reusable services, monitoring, and error handling.

Architecture Leadership

At least four years of FTE experience within the last seven years serving as an Architect or Technical Lead involving:

• Salesforce data-model design, security, and performance optimization
• Salesforce integration with external systems using MuleSoft or comparable middleware
• API gateway configuration
• Data transformation and orchestration
• Enterprise architecture governance

Production Support

At least two years of FTE experience within the last five years supporting a large-scale Salesforce and MuleSoft production environment.

Large scale is defined as:

• 5,000 or more users
• Three or more business areas
• Five or more locations

Security and Monitoring

At least two years of FTE experience with one or more of the following:

• Salesforce Shield
• Salesforce Event Monitoring
• MuleSoft Runtime Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• State and local government or public-sector experience
• Salesforce architecture certification
• MuleSoft architecture or developer certification
• Experience integrating Salesforce with legacy or mainframe systems
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
