Job Summary We are seeking an Accounting Associate for a direct hire opportunity with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Aliso Viejo, CA. The Accounting Associate will support accounting operations, property-related accounting, facilities administration, and chapter financial processes. Key Responsibilities - Support accounting and financial reporting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, and month-end close tasks. - Manage property accounting functions, including mortgage accounts, interest accruals, property insurance, personal property taxes, and related financial reporting. - Coordinate facilities administration activities, including property management communication, workspace requests, facilities projects, vendor coordination, budgets, and forecasts. - Serve as a finance point of contact for chapters, reviewing financial information, supporting reconciliations, monitoring reporting deadlines, and providing guidance to chapter leaders. - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, dashboards, presentations, and special projects for leadership and internal stakeholders. - Partner with internal departments and external contacts to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial information. Compensation and Benefits - Salary range: $69,000 to $78,000 per year. - Direct hire opportunity. - Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the Aliso Viejo office. - Standard workweek is 37.5 hours. - Starts with 4.9 weeks of PTO. - Companywide 1-week reset period in July with no PTO required. - Full background check required.
