Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join their team in Peekskill, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid accounting/bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a hands-on role and taking ownership of day-to-day financial operations.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join their team in Peekskill, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid accounting/bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a hands-on role and taking ownership of day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Prepare invoices, payments, and deposits
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll and other accounting-related tasks as needed
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Work closely with management, vendors, and outside accounting partners
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
