Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

You''ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while managing patient assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, education, and ongoing changes in patient condition. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or active multistate nursing license permitting practice in Iowa. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) verification. Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child Abuse certification upon hire. Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Dependent Adult Abuse certification upon hire. Strong nursing assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making abilities. Ability to effectively manage multiple patients and changing priorities in a hospital environment. Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Hospital-based clinical experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and post-operative conditions. Experience with medication administration, patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and continued clinical development.
