Respiratory Therapist
Location: Sanford, FL 32771
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift: Nights | Rotating Weekends
Shift Differential: $4.50/hr nights + $3/hr weekends
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of recent acute-care RRT experience; CRT experience accepted
- NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Associate degree or completion of a 2-year AMA-approved respiratory care program
- BLS/BCLS required within 30 days of start
- ACLS required within 6 months
- PALS required within 6 months
- NRP required within 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures
- Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and respiratory therapies
- Assist with artificial airway placement and mechanical ventilation
- Monitor ventilated patients and therapeutic responses
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
- Respond to emergencies and support airway management during resuscitation
