Transportation Manager

1st Shift Transportation Manager (Customer Logistics Manager) Location: San Antonio, TX Salary: $68,000 – $71,000 per annum, paid twice per month Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed. Responsibilities Supervise equipment and driver compliance, ensuring DOT regulatory adherence. Partner closely with the Operations team to support daily logistics activities. Maintain consistent communication with the Shop team to ensure equipment readiness. Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple business groups. Lead a team of 120–130 commercial drivers, ensuring strong safety performance. Manage dispatch operations and develop daily load plans. Guide indirect reports (Supervisors), aligning workloads with operational needs. Champion key operational initiatives as assigned by leadership. Engage in customer service satisfaction and expectation management. Perform staffing, performance management, and development of exempt and non‑exempt employees. Manage day‑to‑day planning and scheduling. Oversee health and safety management and regulatory compliance. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to work within international functional teams. Intermediate understanding of supply chain management components. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production. Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred. Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
